Lemons and Ladybugs
Lemons and Ladybugs is the title of a memoir set to be released in late 2022. A genre-bending piece of spiritual non-fiction with timeless wisdom for the age of social media.
Writing about my late cousin Kevin was a labor of love, especially since I wasn’t sure, at first, exactly how I felt the man. In certain ways he was a cautionary tale of lost potential, indulgence and addiction, yet the thousands who gathered to mourn him at the tender age of 33 were awed by his uncommon kindness and strength. Through interviews, vignettes, and the unfiltered blog entries kept by Kevin’s widow Angel during his cancer battle, together we seek the source of his grace, and re-imagine success, self worth and masculinity in the process. By the closing pages it’s clear, “inside every person is an entire universe,” and the legacies we leave on earth are capable of trampling down death itself.
